Anything Frette - Number 19

There are a lot of businesspeople who simply love to go on business trips. I can take them or leave them, but if there is one good thing about a business trip it’s the Frette. There is absolutely nothing like curling up in Frette’s rich cotton sheets in your better-than-average (usually European) hotel. How rich? Well, they don’t even list the thread counts so it must be a lot. I know that the “Hotel” collection is really not their most luxurious sheet offering, but it’s enough for the weary traveler who’s utterly tickled pink at having such finery to sleep on. That, AND a pillow chocolate? Life is good…
What would it be like to have Frette of your own? Not just a sheet set either – I’ve window-shopped the Frette store a time or two, and I certainly wouldn’t mind a cashmere robe, silk nightgown, cuddly throw, or crisp cotton pajamas. (We all know how I love pajamas.) This is the kind of luxury most people don’t even know they can spend their money on – loungewear? You mean no one else will know I own it? Pssshaw! But that’s just the reason why it’s true luxury. By definition, personal luxury is only for the person wearing it. It’s the silk lining, the button details, the pockets within the pocket, the pleating, and the comfort. When good clothes are really good you don’t even notice that you’re wearing them. And isn’t that exactly how you want to feel when you come home after a long day, wanting to crawl into something cozy? How about crawling into something cozy, sexy, indulgent, and made of cashmere? Sounds like heaven to me – heaven with really great sheets and chocolates on the pillow, that is...and would it really be heaven with anything less?
