Because Daddy Says So...

Overheard on Saturday morning at Peet's Coffee & Tea in Laurel Village...a very long line has formed around 9:30 AM, stretching almost all the way out of the back door. Enter young father (late-thirties,) and his son (about four.)

Dad: C'mon buddy, let's get in line.

Son: Boy - this is a long line. They don't have lines like this at Starbucks.

No response.

Son: Daddy, Mommy always goes to Starbucks.

No response.

Son: Daddy, why aren't we going to Starbucks?

Dad: (impatiently) Because the coffee's better here son!
