4 Things Meme

Wendy Brandes is my new favorite person in the blogosphere. Not that I'm alone in this, she seems to be everyone's new favorite person in the blogosphere...that little minx! Wendy B got a great "4 Things Meme" and while she didn't tag anyone else (which I think is a great idea,) I asked to be tagged because I dug the questions. So, with much ado, I've been tagged!

 Here goes:

4 Dishes...I like to cook:

1. Jamie Oliver's meatballs - they're in his Naked Chef cookbook and are incredibly decadent.
2. Nigella Lawson's brownies from How to be a Domestic Goddess - I make them with Scharffen Berger chocolate and they are always a big hit with guests and co-workers.
3. Tater Tots really late at night when I'm hungry, tipsy, and just arriving home from a fun night out.
4. Just about anything I've made up myself, especially my Zucchini-Gorgonzola-Heirloom Tomato lasagne which I only make in the summertime when the tomatoes come out.

4 Qualities...I love in people:

1. Honesty
2. Not just a sense of humor, but also a sense of FUN!!!
3. Wit/Intelligence - you can be intelligent but not witty, though you can't be really witty without being intelligent
4. Originality - I was going to say "creativity" but I think "originality" is far more important in the long run

4 Things...in my bedroom:

1. Potted Palm
2. really great cotton sheets with an obscenely high thread count that would be tacky & indulgent to list here
3. In Search of Lost Time by Marcel Proust - the first 30 pages are essential when sleep escapes you
4. Shoes. Yeah, they're pretty much all over the place. 

4 Dirty Words I Like:

1. Shag
2. Gook/Gunk
3. Nasty
4. Sleaze

Three things. 1) If you are willing to come over and cook for me, I'll take the old newspapers and socks off the stove for you, 2) an obscenely high thread count is only self-indulgent if you've taken the time to name every thread and 3) do you think a minx jacket would be nice and warm?
