Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I've just watched the Radio City Rockettes fan-kick their way across Herald Square (one of the highlights of my favorite event: the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade,) and I'm officially ready for the marathon of the holiday season.
A year ago, I read my horoscope that said something along the lines of: "by next Thanksgiving, you will have a lot to be thankful for..." Looking back across the year, I realize how true this prophetic statement is for me. I always have a lot to be thankful for, and I hope I will always realize the many blessings that are in my life. But, the wisdom of the horoscope was truly wise - I am in a much better place than I was last year...
I am thankful for my new job and my new boss. It is amazing how life improves when your work life (let's face it, that's 60% of your time) is exciting, rewarding, and stimulating. It's even better when your team is equally excellent, with high expectations and energy...
I am thankful for my family who are always there for me, especially my sister who may live across the country, but is just a phone call away. I am also thankful for my brother-in-law who has become a real brother to me over the past few years.
I am thankful that I get to live in such a beautiful city, that I get to see sunshine more often than not, that I can smell the ocean, run through the forest, and ride my bike through rolling hills.
I am thankful for everyday things: dogs, conversation, witty rejoinders, fresh vegetables, Peet's coffee, five different types of ethnic food within three blocks of my house, Turner Classic Movies, cabernet sauvignon, flower stands, a quick bus ride to work, good books...
I am thankful for my many incredible, wildly different, hospitable, inspiring, exciting, hilariously funny and creative friends. Even those that live across the world, I love that we keep track of each other despite the miles. I am honored to know all of you and I love being part of your lives.
I am thankful for Poetic & Chic. It always motivates me and it is more rewarding than I had ever imagined it could be when I launched a year and a half ago.
I am especially thankful for all of the fans and readers of P&C. I love your comments, ideas, intelligence and humor. I love looking at my site statistics and seeing that I have readers in Dubai, Indonesia, Germany, Paris, Stockholm, Argentina, Japan, Italy... The internet is a weird, wonderful place.
Thank you all! You are all a blessing to me...
