Pierre Hardy Har Har

PierreHardy2.jpgIt's seems there's a new enfant terrible in town. He's not that new to fashionistas, but his popularity is definitely growing!

I'm talking of Pierre Hardy, of course - someone who by chance or kismet seems to be on everyone's lips, blogs, and feet lately.

The Luxe Chronicles wrote a great piece today about speculation on some of the fabulous designs we're sure to see in the upcoming Sex and the City movie, with most of the speculation landing on Pierre Hardy. Will he be the cobbler to take up the mantle of SATC footwear fame heretofore owned by Manolo Blahnik and Jimmy Choo? Is Monsieur Hardy soon to be a household name as well?

Well, according to Stylefile, he certainly is! It seems Pierre Hardy is designing a new shoe collection for The Gap. Yes, The Gap. Remember them? They used to take all your hard-earned babysitting money in junior high? The Gap is attempting to turn things around, and they're hoping that Pierre Hardy's sure-to-be-coveted footwear will be part of the mission control. All of the shoes will retail well below $100 a pair, which will be sweet relief compared to his full-priced designer line!

And speaking of designer lines...La Brandes has her own new pair of Pierre Hardy's and I think they're just amazing. Jealous am I.

Let's hope they fit. Pray to the shoe gods!
