I Heart...

gwen cover.jpg...Gwen on the cover of Bazaar.

And this is the subscribers cover, mind you - the newsstand version will be a wee bit less sophisticated. Sigh! Could I possibly have a bigger girl-crush? I think not.

This ombre-hued Dior Haute Couture by John Galliano (d'uh, it's Gwen...) is absolutely amazing, and very reminiscent of the fuschia-into-white wedding gown he made for her a few years ago. It's a fitting choice given the Svengali-like relationship between this designer and his style-muse; the fashion spread is styled as a Gwen does "My Fair Lady" idea, but it's very nice because it isn't so literal - very modern looks and colors punctuate the neutral "English" scenery in a fresh interpretation of the classic.

One thing though...while I love the platinum blonde pouf on the cover, in the photo shoot it looks a bit Marilyn-esque, especially with the thick eyeliner. I just think that Gwen is enough of her own icon that she doesn't need to rely on the cliché stylings of other stylemakers from other eras.

But all in all - if La Stefani is featured some place, it's a shoe-in that I'm going to melt into a pool of delirious gushings of adoration...

Hands off, Gwen is MINE! Love her. And I can't wait to see the rest of the spread. Can we talk a little bit about her L.A.M.B. line though? It's struggling, no? It's like punky Juicy Couture... meh. Still... Long Live the Gwen!

Oh,how gorgeous. I haven't been a big fan of Gwen's latest stylings but when she pairs with Galliano she's just amazing.

While I am no gwen devotee, that is one gorgeous cover! Something to look forward to in the mail box.

love, love, love that dress!
though I have to disagree with you on the icy blond hair/eyeliner thing: I do think Gwen looks absolutely gorj in that 50s-esque look and equally stunning when her makeup is softened.
