To Nine West, or not to Nine West...

Wisteria Pump - $79I can never decide if shoe shopping with a gaggle of girlfriends is a good thing or bad thing. For instance, this past Saturday at the Nine West on Union Street...
Me: "Ohhh - look, I LOVE these red pumps, but I tried them on the other day and thought they looked like total hooker shoes."
Rachel: "But they're so cute!"
Me: "I know! I was totally in love with them. But still, when I put them on they looked like something Jessica Rabbit would wear. Can't do it."
Meg: "I really like these...I want them in gold."
Me: "I tried those on too and they didn't work - they weren't super comfortable."

Steph - $49.99Meg: "They work for me, but are they too much a knock off of the Tory Burch ones?"
Me: "Well, there's that..."
Meg: "I mean, they're so obvious - why aren't I just buying the real ones?"
Lindsey: "I love these, but they're..."
Me: "Going to get sweaty?"
Lindsey: (laughing) "No...they're, they're..."

Lellman - $39.99Me: "Going to fog up at the toes?"
Lindsey: "No - they have little holes in the side so that won't happen..."
Me: "It's going to be the tropics in there...like Miami - steamy."
Lindsey: "But I like them!"
Me: "Dude - don't you remember Jellies?"
Lindsey: "Oooh - you're right."
Me: "Um, okay...note to self: don't buy cork shoes."

Liatris - $89Rachel: "Yeah, you could save on bulletin board space, just stick a little pin in there..."
Meg: "But I saw those at Saks or something - like a really big designer did them. I dunno who..."
Me: "So that makes it okay?"
Meg: "No, I'm just saying that some designer made them, those are made after the designer ones."
Rachel: "Yeah...those are bad."
Suffice it to say...no one bought any shoes.
