Wasting Away Again in Margaritaville
Tuesday, August 21, 2007 at 8:57PM Did you know that the French word for one's bachelorette is called l'entournement de jeune fille? Yes, it literally translates to something along the lines of "the entombment of the young woman"...or "death to the maiden"! How very medieval. Luckily, my own bachelorette experience had me speaking my minimal Spanish...
One of my recent adventures was a three-day cruise to Ensenada, Mexico to celebrate the end of Genevieve's singledom... Assembling only the most decorus young ladies (and one gentlemen - Ruben, the Male of Honor!) we boarded Royal Caribbean's Monarch of the Seas and headed south of the border.
Shipboard nightclubs, steel-drum bands, and enough pool-side cocktails to scare the most intrepidly experienced party-goer, the RC festivities kept going full force until we were dropped at the base of the Mexican flag in Ensenada...and then once again when we re-boarded to come home again! And what happens in Ensenada stays in Ensenada...
Let's just say these pics are the tamest of the bunch!
