Delurking Week Is Here!!!

dday_button_copy.jpgHello out there. Yes, I'm talking to you random person in London, Sao Paolo, Hackettstown, NJ and Coeur D'Alene, ID!!! I can see you've visited, so won't you stop and say hello?

In case you don't know, this is de-lurking week. What is de-lurking? Well, it's the opposite of lurking: the practice of reading a blog and never commenting.

So, when you're DE-lurking, you're encouraging those would-be commenters to pause, consider, and comment to their heart's delight... Don't be so shy! Please let me know where you're reading from and any other comments you may have - I LOVE de-lurkers!!!

Welcome to P&C and thanks for reading (and de-lurking!)

Hi Annie, greetings from the South Bay, Los Gatos specifically. I just found P&C recently, so I'm not completely up to speed, but since you're into delurking, which kind of sounds like pest control, I'll step out of the shadows briefly and wave.

Now I'm back to testing the waters. Which sounds like the state park rangers deciding if the beaches are open or not. Neither poetic nor chic.

ah well...maybe that's why I'm lurking.

do i lurk? i don't know. but i'll pause and say hi from NYC, where you have many fans --- Kami, Stacey and Maryana are all readers too, BIG lurkers. Molly lurks from Seattle, but she just had a baby and can be forgiven. Michelle might lurk sometimes from Moldova, but the Peace Corps has iffy internet connections so also a free pass. The husband lurks big time. Hello out there in husband-land!!!! De-lurk!!!!

Another lurker comes out! I found you through a few other friendly sites and I know I should have said something because I liked your blog. Hello from the cold Midwest!

Hi Annie, the London lurker could be me or another fan of you and San Francisco. We moved from Dublin to London at the end of September. Dublin did not present many opportunities for triathlon training; London could be different. At least our gym here has a pool. Anyway, I love catching up on all the SF happenings. Thanks for keeping me informed and inspired!

i may have been the one to trigger the Coeur d'Alene, ID information, even though technically I'm from 90 minutes south of there. but anyways, hi! I'm Jillian, junior French major at a small college in Michigan, and I love P&C and its fabulousness! especially the recent post about Sarkozy.

hey annie -
i *just* found you tonight (through the ifbu listings) and i'm really digging your style and your writing voice (so refreshing!) and the slant you have on fashion - there's a lot more weight to what you write compared to most of the fluff that the usual blog offers. i love how you have me thinking! your range of content is so good too...

and i think i could use this delurking post on my own blog!! this past week my readers have hardly made a peep, funny, how you know they are there, but hardly a word is uttered sometimes. if we turned off comments, would we still be motivated to write? would it even still be a blog? ah, the ego... :)

anyway, nice to "meet" you and find poetic & chic. i'm going to subscribe.
