Anyone with the slightest chic...

Now that's a good name for a blog: "The Slightest Chic"...Hmmm. Of course, I'm quoting the great HG herself: "Any gentleman with the slightest chic will give a girl a $50-bill for the powder room. And then money for cab fare too, and that's another $50..." Gosh, and these days it's hard enough to get a guy to buy you a cocktail!
My two favorite articles for today include this fabulous post by Chic & Charming about how to be your own Holly Golightly. It's true, there are so many Holly wanna-bes in this world that I've been "over" the whole Breakfast at Tiffany's romance for quite some time, but I absolutely loved this post.
I also loved The Luxe Chronicle's post about the wonderfully sumptuous Bar Fontainebleau (now called Le Bar 228) in L'Hotel Meurice in Paris. Not only is this one of my favorite watering holes in the world, it is quite possibly one of the most beautiful and romantic rooms ever. Believe me, the pictures don't do it justice. The drinks are perfectly mixed and then delivered by a white-jacketed waiter on a silver tray with a linen cocktail napkin. The spiced nuts are likewise served in elegant little silver bowls, and the whole place is a mix of 1920s glamour with Third Republic decor. Sigh!
