Crème de la Crop

TDLCocto1.jpgThe fashion blogosphere just hasn't been the same since Jill Sherman came on the scene. Her Trendinista blog's quirky and clever juxtapositions got her noticed very quickly by the editors at Coutorture, who in turn gave her her own column on the site.

Keeping things new and fresh, Sherman has re-launched Trendinista as Trend de la Crème - though the name is different, the content is much the same: smart, keen, humorous and colorful. Take yesterday's post comparing Oscar de la Renta to...Octopii? Love it! Or how about this post likening John Galliano's Dior show to different orchids. Yes, where I saw 1960s pop, she saw phalenopsis and dendrobiums. Why didn't I think of that?

The posts from Trend de la Crème are always among my daily favorites, and are usually posted to my "share" list on Google Reader. It's unusual that a blogger can keep their content consistent, creative and fresh each day, bringing totally un-thought-of comparisons to the otherwise-prosaic dialogue of trends and fashion. The Crème is good for you! And it's downright addictive!
