Listage

Darcy%20and%20Lizzie.jpgBefore I embark on my own to-do list this morning, I thought I'd share some great lists that I've come across latey.

Yesterday on Jezebel there was this fantastic post listing ten ways to be a gentleman from the London Times. In true Jezebel fashion they followed up this list with ten ways to be a lady...which is always a good review!

Other ladylike methods? The Huffington Post published this article by Lesley M. M. Blume, providing ten excellent and simple beauty habits that all of us should follow. The title says it all: "10 Time-Hallowed, Recession-Proof Tips for Beautification." Another good review of all the things our mothers always told us: get enough sleep, stand up straight, get yourself a good bra...etc. Thanks Lesley!

Some blogs are nothing but lists, such as the hilarious Stuff White People Like. I especially enjoyed their recent posts about grammar fanatics and the Ivy League. My friend Alice also writes a blog of lists. Entitled Circle A Line, her blog is a list of different lists with every type of random connection between them. She even gets guest listers to join into the fray. While I've never been asked to contribute a list myself, I wait in hope.

Also, in case you haven't heard, the Polar Bear has been officially added to the Endangered Species List as of this month, designating the first species added due to global warming. While this is a sad note it does protect the bears and their habitat, so now we can begin work on rebuilding their population. You can do your part by taking the bus, turning out the lights, buying organic, and keeping things sustainable.

It's called reducing your carbon footprint, peeps, and that should definitely be on your list of things to do.
