Pouring!

Wet Palm TreeThe rain began last night, woke me up around 6:30 this morning, and continues on. My top-floor apartment is situated toward the top of Laurel Hill, which means when the wind begins to howl, my whole place shakes in terror.

It's definitely nice to be sung in the bed late into the morning when this is going on, but it's even nicer to look through a watery window at the garden below.

I'm hoping when the rain stops that there will be that lovely autumn smell in the air of wet concrete, leaves, and a touch of woodsmoke.
