It's been a difficult post-birthday weekend, P&C fans. So sorry for the radio silence, but I'm just recovering from a whopper of a cold that has been pretty draining. Friday was tough, but I gave it a good shot all morning, only to come home and collapse on the couch all afternoon & evening. Saturday & Sunday were pretty much spent in bed asleep, unless I was coughing, which was often. NyQuil's got nothing on this germ, let me tell you.

I won't say that I wish I had someone here taking care of me because the last time I said that I got pissy comments from people, but the thought has occurred to me. Luckily, today I was able to rally a bit, get to the store, and get a sack of Tater Tots which will surely make me feel better. And I did it all by myself like the independent feminist I sometimes pretend to be. (Although I really wanted to be a helpless baby and have someone bring it to me on a salver, but oh well. Someday.)

I did make a spicy soup which I like to call the "Las Vegas Wedding Soup" since it's like an Italian Wedding Soup, but much more fun. Email me if you'd like the recipe. (This isn't a food blog, so who knows what kind of pissy comments I'll get if I start posting recipes...)

Anyways, due to get record cold days here in SF, as well as heaps of rain and even snow up high. I took this picture out my back window this evening and then ran it through a few apps on my iPhone to make it even more pretty. If I wake up to snow one of these mornings, you know I'll post that too!
