Wendy & Annie's Excellent Adventure

Wendy B enjoys herself in my hood...As sometimes happens in this sleepy little town, certain fabulous people decide to show up and rock things in a major way. Enter the most excellent, red-lipsticked Wendy Brandes, who arrived in SF on Friday night...

A fantastic blogger dinner consisting of myself, Wendy, Jeannie from Periodic Elements of Style, and Patti from CuteMess Industries, was then commenced at Fringale. I was especially excited that Wendy B allowed her fabulous husband, Mr. B, to join us for desert! It's so good to finally meet the family after all this time. Mr. B is just wonderful - full of charm and excellent stories - a perfect complement to herself, and I'm a big fan of both now. Upon leaving the restaurant, Wendy B asked "so, what are you doing tomorrow...?"

Wow, did this mean I'd get the whole ball of fantastic to myself for a Saturday afternoon? How lucky can a simple blogger from San Francisco get?

I arranged for a ZipCar, and took Lady B on a haphazard tour of some sights around town: The Castro, Golden Gate Park, The Haight, etc, until I popped her in to my apartment for a sneak preview of my upcoming Etsy shop. We then finished the day with a little stroll along Fillmore, which included chocolatey drinks from Bittersweet, lots of window shopping, and a glass of sidewalk chardonnay at The Grove. You know, the usual...

Suffice it to say, Wendy Brandes is one of my favorite bloggers, and indeed one of my favorite people. The girl just makes me happy...if laughing hysterically all day so that your cheeks hurt later means happiness, then this is absolutely the case! Come back soon Wendy B! Read more about this here...

I love our tour and I had a cheekache too! Thanks again for taking such good care of an out-of-town guest.

I meant "loveD" -- my aching cheeks must be affecting my typing abilities!
