Postcard: Cherokee Park, Louisville 1941

Actually, the full title is "Maple Road in Cherokee Park, Louisville, KY". The postmark on the reverse is from 1941 and says "Buy Defense Savings Bonds and Stamps" over a 1-cent stamp. I just thought this image was so perfect for this time of year. I've never been to Kentucky, but I researched Cherokee Park and found that it is one of the great American municipal parks designed by Frederick Law Olmsted - one of my favorites.
