Postcard: Fremont St., Las Vegas, NV

"Sometimes called "Glitter Gulch," where casino doors never close, as seen from Union Pacific station. The famous "Strip" of resort hotels starts three miles south of Fremont Street."
I don't know why, but I was drawn to this postcard this morning. I've had it for years, and I've always loved the colors of the neon and the old casino signs. Las Vegas is so different today, so it's fun to glimpse it during this era when it was just few steps above western honky-tonks, cowboy bars and card rooms. For some reason the retro style of this image puts me in a party mood...!
