April is National Poetry Month

This is Calliope, the Muse of Epic Poetry. There are two other muses of poetry: Erato of Lyric Poetry, and Polyhymnia of Choral Poetry. Calliope is the best known of these (and is also the oldest and wisest of the muses,) and I love that she is usually depicted with her symbol of a writing tablet. Can I get "Emblems of the Muses" for $500 Alex?

Since this blog is about poetic things, I thought I'd post some of my favorite poems on here to celebrate the Muse during National Poetry Month. Let me know if there's any you'd like to see and stay tuned for poetic posts throughout the rest of the month!
