One Moment Please...

Begging your forgiveness, I'm in the process of readjusting my rabbit ears to get an optimum transmission of inspiration from The Muse. In other words, I'm trying to think of something really great to post on here and that could take some time.
In the meantime, here's a few posts I've really enjoyed over the past few days and I suggest everyone check them out!
First, I'm OVER THE TOP IN LOVE with this amazing Brooklyn Brownstone as seen on Bliss by Mrs. French. I usually wouldn't go for so much white-on-white and raw wood, but this one works for me.
I love the art and films of Jean Cocteau; I love him even more after reading this post from The Luxe Chronicles about Cocteau's life-long love of Cartier. (Cocteau's villa in Milly-la-Forêt, France is being restored by Cartier and can be viewed in this month's Elle Decor.) A man who loves those little red boxes and cheetah print as much as me? Oui, bien sûr!
J'adore this Union Jack pillow in Liberty fabrics, as seen on Retro-to-Go...
Also loving this Chalkboard Globe, as seen on Design Crush...
A Continuous Lean put out two posts that I absolutely loved yesterday. The first features some truly wonderful images of the WAVES lady sailors from WWII - fabulous vintage style in denim and chambray! The second offers a number of song covers by different artists, notably (and the one that made me completely freak) a cover of Joy Division/New Order's "Ceremony" covered by Radiohead. Check it out for no other reason than that - it will make your week!
Design*Sponge does Living In, Breakfast Club style...
As word got out about Angelina Jolie portraying Cleopatra in an upcoming film, the Cinema Style blog put together a fantastic history of the role, detailing a fascination with the Queen of the Nile that's as old as Hollywood itself.
Speaking of Cleopatra, I know we all agree that Wendy Brandes' glorious Cleopatra earrings were the best part of Sex and the City 2... Buy them here in gold with diamonds or silver...
Finally, Victoria at SFGirlbyBay defines the dreamy, lazy days of summer with this gorgeous post called "A Month by the Lake". I keep coming back to it and staring at the pictures...why can't I go there?
