Spotted & Wanted: Donegal Denim by Naked & Famous

I'm in love with these jeans. If I saw a straight man actually wearing them, chances are I'd probably love him too. Seen yesterday in the mens department of Barney's New York, I was supposed to be helping my friend Peter find some new jeans and...well, I stopped right here. By Naked & Famous of Montreal, Canada, these had me at Donegal.

Little known fact about Miss P&C: some of my Irish ancestors are from County Donegal, where they make the famous Donegal tweed. These very same ancestors were weavers of said tweed, which may be one of the many reasons I'm so enthralled with textiles and fashion...

Anyways. Naked & Famous has made these Donegal Denim jeans exclusively for Barney's. Why they didn't make these for women I don't understand, but I think you gents should go and get them toute suite. The denim itself is a dark grey-ish slate color, and the little flecks of color which create the "tweed" look are a lovely bright surprise. Plus, the tiny bits of color aren't so overwhelming that they'd take over your gentlemanly demeanor. The tweedy look just makes them more specialized and luxurious.

I could go on extolling their virtues, but I think their awesomeness speaks for itself, no?

Sadly, Peter disagreed and did not buy said jeans; he turned and ran when he saw them. But then he never trusts my expert judgment.
