Loves it: Binki & Fab, Elle July

There's just too much good stuff in Elle's July issue! I'm not saying that because we all get to see the drama on The City these days, but because the content is legit and definitely inspiring. Take the "Beautiful Dreamers" spread featuring Binki Shapiro and Fabrizio Moretti of the band Little Joy - I cannot stop flipping through these pages! Photographed by Serge Leblon and styled by Ben Stargill, the soft-focus lines with blown-out, vintage-y saturation strikes the perfect note. The whole thing is so beautiful and romantic, with an appropriate touch of self-conscious indie-rock hipness.

And, surprise surprise, while trying to get back to a vintage bohemian vibe, the look is incredibly modern. Rich knits, tweeds and colors make Binki Shapiro less ethereal, creating a look that tempers sweetness with strength. Not to be overlooked is the perfectly scruffy heartbreaker known as Fab. Ever since Drew Barrymore broke up with him he's been the sensitive rocker boy all the little girls hope to meet someday. His presence in this spread really seals the deal: tender, handsome, artistic and tough in one - what's not to love?

This type of editorial isn't usually my style, but I found myself arrested by the dreamy images - especially the one of the couple in the old car. So sexy and adorable at the same time!
