Creepy Etsy Heads Part II: Clowns

Is there anything creepier than a clown? I've always found them unsettling at best and off-putting at the very least. The fact that these are considered appropriate for kids is always a little weird to me. Have you ever been to a circus? Yeah. Weird. I understand that being a clown is one of those traditional art forms that dates back to the Commedia dell'Arte, which is something I truly respect, but clowns aren't ever really normal, are they?

Old men, crones, uber-emotive faces, vacant eyes, and lots of makeup...this combination does not a child reassure, nor an adult for that matter.

So, as I started to find creepy heads on Etsy, it was no surprise that a lot of them were clowns...

I know people say that babies look like old men, but when you make a baby doll look like an old man it's really twisted.

Jazzy died, choking on his own laughter. His smile didn't even know he was gone... Meanwhile, Doodles' expertly crafted clones were plotting to take over the act.

Hors d'oeuvres included canapés, shrimp, and grandpa-on-a-stick.

Seemingly complacent and even docile, little did anyone know just what blood-thirsty plots were hatching behind Raggedy Andy's blank eyes.

Hey little lady...come on over her and give Puddles a big wet kiss!
