Postcard: Market Street, San Francisco

I woke up, realized it was Wednesday and wondered how it came so quickly! So, here's today's postcard - a vintage, colorized shot of mid-Market Street, San Francisco. Although it isn't dated, I think this is from the late 1920s-early 1930s, just based on the cars. This is a view probably taken from the Flood Building or thereabouts at 5th and Market, looking East towards the Ferry Building. In person, this postcard is all technicolor, actually the colorization is still so vivid it looks day-glo, especially the bright green.
The domed towers of the Humboldt Savings Bank building and the Call Building mark there places, and if you look closely you can see the famous location of States Hof Brau in the Pacific Building at the corner of 4th & Market. (It's the green building in the middle.) This spot is now a hotel with a large Old Navy location at the street level, but back in the day it was a busy place for getting good German food. Not to ignore the local bounty however, I've learned that Hof Brau's house specialty was abalone cooked a number of different ways.
