As the world looks toward Cannes this week with the film festival, I thought I'd post a beautiful vista of the Monte Carlo Casino, postmarked 1967. Since Cannes is just a few miles away, you know that the glitterati will surely head here for a few nights out.

It's very James Bond or To Catch a Thief or Bonjour Tristesse or The Red Shoes... At any rate, the Cannes film festival marks the beginning of the type of cinematic, warm weather glamour we'll be seeing for the next few months which I just adore. I'm ready for some pétanque and pastis!
