What I Wore: Luxe Bright

Shirt: Banana Republic

Skirt: Boden

Necklace: H&M

Bracelets: Banana Republic & Louis Vuitton

Ring: Forever 21

Shoes: Corso Como

I have been wanting a yellow pencil skirt for ages, so when Boden came out with one for fall, I snatched one up immediately! The texture is really hearty and warm, so it's kind of ideal for our chilly summer weather here in SF. I paired it with a crisp button-down from Banana, and although it looks white here it's actually in a really pale blue.

So, what to pair with bright yellow and pale blue? Bright red of course! I found this fabulous necklace at H&M for only $8. Yes, $8 - and it looks like something you'd find at Barney's for ten times that amount. True, the length was a little bit wrong, but I adjusted that with a quick twist o'the pliars and now it sits perfectly, right at the collarbone. Since I've reduxed my jewelry, I've rediscovered my old Vuitton luggage tag bracelet, which seems to work with just about everything, including a great elastic crystal bracelet, also from Banana Republic.

Finally - can we just talk about Corso Como for a second? How is it that they make the sauciest shoes that are also so comfortable? I'm in love with them! As anyone knows, pencil skirts really look the best with a high high heel, so these patent pumps are perfect. The little bit of sheen is the right touch with the nubby fabric of the skirt and the bright red accents.

I'll definitely be wearing this look a lot this fall!
