Friends Make a Splash!

geneivive_2.jpgI love my friends - old ones and new ones. What can I say, I'm a good judge of character and when I get along with someone I keep in touch! Two of my friends (one old and one new) are having a few minutes of splashiness of the blogosphere variety today...

Genevieve, one of my best friends whose wedding I'm going to be in this October put together this beautiful wedding "mood board" that captures the themes of her big day. Stylemepretty has it as party of an inspiration board contest, and Genevieve posted it anonymously by calling herself "V". But I played the BFF trump card and got her to out herself for P&C. Love it! It shows the classy, casual, No-Cal atmosphere that she's going for for the wedding, and yes sportsfans, that's the bridesmaids' dress yours truly will be wearing at the top...

Meg, one of my newest friends who writes Faking Good Breeding, posted this fantastic write-up of her day at the Hearst offices where she was part of a photo shoot for CosmoGirl magazine. Meg is one of the first bloggers I began corresponding with about a year ago, and I swear we were separated at birth. I finally got to meet her this summer in New York and I have to say that she's even more amazing in-person. I suppose I love this post about the photo shoot because that's what we were talking about when we met: the hair, the clothes, the makeup...the "oh my God, this is going to be on every newsstand in America" thought that is pretty hard to swallow.

I just had to pass on some of this fun from two of my favorite people... Enjoy!

Aww Annie, thanks so much for the sweet words! It was so great to meet you, I can't wait for the opportunity to visit the West Coast again so we can wine and dine San Francisco style!
